Adventures In Little Tokyo
A few weeks back Michael and I had a date night in Little Tokyo. Neither of us had been there yet so we were excited to see what was in store…
First up, Kula Revolving Sushi Bar…it’s not the most amazing sushi I’ve ever had but it was definitely a fun experience. We ordered miso and Sapporo’s and got to choose our own sushi just by picking it off of the conveyor belt that goes around the entire place!
After dinner we went to quite a few shops and saw some amazing karaoke happening. The whole village was super clean and fascinating to explore. All of the Japanese cosmetics stores and gift shops had everything and anything Japanese you could think of. ALSO, HUGE PLUS, in Little Tokyo they sell Bioderma, which I had no idea was even sold in the US. Needless to say, if you’re a makeup junkie, like me, you know how excited I was to see it. The cosmetics stores were definitely my favorite…I bought a couple of their skin care products in one of the stores just because of how cute some of the packaging was:
Then on our way out of Little Tokyo we found Pop Killer, where I bought my new favorite… meet Puff!
I definitely recommend coming here if you’re in or near the LA area. I always heard China Town was the place to visit but after coming to Little Tokyo I think this is the spot you cannot miss!
